A very rare Dutch or Belgian padlock c.1600.  Approximate value £10,000 - a collectors item. A concealed mechanism which operates from a projection on the key to  allow escutcheon flap to open, letting key enter the lock mechanism. Double locking for added strength. Escutcheon flap and spring made in period by ourselves, picture also shows key under construction. Lock is in private collection padlock.jpg (154187 bytes)

A very robust and unusual lockable latch bolt.  Lock measures 14" * 8" - note the handle on one side which allows the latch to be withdrawn from the inside. Once the door is closed and people exit, a key is needed to unlock the mechanism and another turn of the key will draw back the latch to gain entry. Date - c. 1725.  Lock is in workshop for total restoration and keys made. latchhandle.jpg (155585 bytes)

A switch control from a 1932 Rolls Royce. The key is missing and duplicates cannot be obtained as there are none for many Bently, Rolls Royce, Lagonda etc. 

Key blanks are very difficult to obtain. Shown are a few that we have had specially made to allow us to do  such work. on this particular switch it is in a sealed unit and the only way to produce a key is by the impression method, difficult and now a little bit of a black art in the locksmithing world

H.T.V. Pair of locks from 1933 Rolls Royce. Abbreviation for H.T. Vaughan, no longer in existence - special small Yale type cylinders - both in need of total restoration.  Picked open and stripped, repinned so one key operates both locks (to pass).  Special section keys obtained by ourselves - both locks re-nickel plated for Swedish customer.
